Develop Business Plans
Oversee the sales department, you must develop an overall business plan, including sales strategies and profit goals.
performing sales analyses, assessing the results and adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
Achieve or exceed the sales targets as defined in the Business Plan for the sales channels. and control the Sales budget to ensure optimum allocation of resources to different businesses of the company.
Build a High Performance Sales Team:
Coordinate with the Human Resources to efficiently recruit and build a High Performance Sales Team.
This includes, checking individual performances of the Sales Team and motivate them, either through personal counseling and/or imparting training in tactical selling skills to improve and enhance their capabilities and sales performance.
Manage the Sales Systems
Lead the sales team which can include the Sales Supervisors. This entails many different tasks, including developing and maintaining an efficient distribution network and efficient routing to ensure timely deliveries and superior levels of service to company customers and ensuring that the sales team are achieving their sales goals.
Finance & Accounts
Co-ordinate with Finance & Accounts to manage all sales team/clients accounts to ensure compliance with all financial norms to control collections and receivables.
Perform Sales Visits
visit and build relationships with potential and current clients in order to provide product information, answer client questions and concerns and build brand awareness. To do this through both individual meetings and larger sales presentations.
Coordinate with the Marketing Department to ensure marketing tools are provided to the trade to increase brand visibility and thereby achieve business objectives.
Conduct regular market visits to check route coverage and availability of company products in the market, competitor’s activities and look for new business opportunities in order to safeguard the customer base and increase market share.
