Job Description / Responisbilties

Job Summary:


The purpose of this job is to plan, control, organize, and to effectively supervise the company‘s warehouses and distribution operations in order to provide an efficient turn round of orders which meet agreed aims and targets, together with the control of stock.

job responsibilities:

•Maintain and control warehouse inventory & plan the warehouse layouts to maximize inventory controls, facility layout, facility flow, process flow and related data analysis.

•Apply inventory control policies to maintain over 98% inventory accuracy.

•Able to lead, manage, control and coordinate activities on multiple locations and cross-country level.

•Participate in internal and external audit.

•Ability to fill in for his counterpart Logistics and Procurement Supervisors.

•Initiate and lead cost-control initiatives.

•Ensure that all daily transactions (i.e. receipts, issues, etc) are entered in the system and closed on the same day.

•Ensure that all corrective and preventive actions are implemented in the time frame committed.

•To work effectively and efficiently, sharing relevant information with the team and management.

•Work closely with internal management to execute all planned programs.

•Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality.

•Manage and model the safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety & quality policies and procedures.

•Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment and reconcile any inventory variances.

•Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of loading, and shipping orders to route materials.

•Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.

•Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

•Communicate job expectations to all warehouse employees.

•Evaluate warehouse staff performance and prepare performance appraisals as per   stated policy.

•Provide the line manager with daily, monthly, weekly reports.

•Any other work required.
