Job Description / Responisbilties

Australian Laboratory Services Co. Ltd. (ALS Sudan) is part of ALS Group - Geochemistry Division. ALS Sudan has Sample Preparation Laboratory in Atbara, Sudan. Basically, we are receiving Rock, Sediment and other Mining samples from Mining Companies and performing the samples preparation in Atbara, Sudan as per ALS methods and send for analysis in ALS Global Laboratories. The Admin and Accounting Officer should possess:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Accounting. 

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Understanding of basic business principles

  • Understanding of Taxes, Banking complication in Sudan, Soical Security and other Accounting related Governmental requierments. 




·         Provide the needed information to the Accounting Firm handles the Company books.


·         Prepare and release Intercompany invoices to other ALS entities.


·         Review the Monthly Report issued by the Accounting Firm and Prepare the Monthly Expenses Sheets and maintain filing for the invoices based on the expense codes.

·   After coordination with Accounting Firm, handling the procedures with Social Security, VAT, Tax Authority, Labor office and any other governmental body related to the company activities.


·         Chase the payments for the issued invoices and fulfill the requirements to get the payments from the clients.


·         Reviewing the Payrolls and all payments related to the employees.


·         Work with Group Financial Officer, GM, Operation Manager and Accounting Firm for all accounting related matter.


·         Fulfill the requirements of Auditors and insure the documents availability for the Audit at all time.


·         Maintain the Supplier Invoices and the due dates for their payments.


·         Insure all the company Accounting Activities are compliant with Governmental and ALS standards.  


·         Work as backup for the Admin and Logistic Officer depend on the Management direction.


·         Any other task related to the company business requested by the Management.
