Job Description / Responisbilties

 


Summary:



  • To manage Marketing Intelligence in order to derive deep customer insights in a given or proposed market, and to make recommendations to capitalize on opportunities which will assist the company in the development of current and future fit-for purpose marketing strategies and solutions to support the Marketing vision and mission, and overall achievement of business strategic objectives.


Responsibilities:


 



  • Strategic Direction Alignment: 


    • Ensure Marketing Intelligence is aligned to support the Marketing vision and mission through the provision of insights and recommendations on potential futures and scenarios for the optimization of marketing strategies, and the overall achievement of business strategic objectives.


  • Market Intelligence and Research (Futures, Macro, Market, and Micro):


    •  Forward thinking and insight research and future scenarios, macro, market, and micro conditions, regulations, competitors, products, business publications, and customers, to direct company decision making in terms of entering new, foreign markets, and future potential markets.


  • Market Viability & Feasibility: 


    • Manage business requests for market research, and deliver market research output with recommendations for market/product/service viability.


  • Market Intelligence Data Gathering & Research: 


    • Manage end to end process of gathering data through market research and relevant data sources including internal data, web analytics, research reports, articles, journals, association’s publications, and leading market research companies, to have credible data sets for data mining and analytics.


  • Data Intelligence Management & Analytical Reporting: 


    • Maintain advanced business intelligence software, and data management to provide data sets in order to perform data mining and analytics that  result in strategic insights for business decisions and the identification of risks, opportunities, threats, and areas of strength to optimize business growth.


  • Financial Viability & Feasibility: 


    • Ensure alignment and integration with Finance and Business Development to provide financial, pricing, market share, and forecasting reports from a wide range of databases and research publications, in order to propose commercial viability of potential future projects and product development.


  • Marketing Intelligence Recommendations: 


    • Provide SBU’s with robust market intelligence reports and recommendations on customer behaviour, customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to ensure that all SBU’s are well advised on market intelligence insights, to enable them to stay ahead of the competition and provide fit-for purpose, high impact marketing strategies for maximum impact.


  • Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building: 


    • Work collaboratively and with an aligned and integrated approach with the DED Head of Marketing, Marketing team, Strategy, Business Development, Finance, and Strategic Business Unit (SBU’s) in order to fulfill the Company’s Marketing Intelligence business needs and overall marketing strategy.


  • Performance and Team Management: 


    • Manage Marketing Intelligence team's success by ensuring that all team members understand their KPI's, are well trained, and adequately recognised, supported and performance managed, to keep morale and motivation levels high for increased engagement to meet Market intelligence and Marketing goals and objectives.


  • Marketing Intelligence Project Management: 


    • Provide management of all Marketing Intelligence projects to ensure that effective project management principles result in well resourced, within budget, and on-time delivery as per the respective Project Charters.
